Navigating the New Illinois ASA Website |
|
|
The Top 7 Things You Need to Know …- Update your bookmarks. You will no longer use playsoftballillinois.org—now use illinoisasa.org.
- Navigate by your needs. The website is divided into three categories: Youth Program, Adult Program, and Umpires to make it easier for you to find the information you need.
- User registration is easy. Use the User Login to register for the website. It is important for you to include all teams you coach in the Team(s) field as that information is used to link your account to the team records—giving you the ability to update your team information. You must complete this registration to have full access to the website. To modify your information, simply look for the Profile Management link on the bottom of the website.
- You have access to create/modify team records. Once you are logged in through the User Login you have the ability to create and modify team records through the Team/Coach Lookup area. If your team already has a record, please do not create a new one. You should be linked to your team records soon after registration. If you need to add a new team, select Add Entry. To edit a team record your account is linked to, simply find the team and look for the Edit button in the top right hand corner of the record.
- There are three ways to register your team. Under the Coaches Corner section of the navigation, you will find an option called Register My Team. On that page you will find detailed instructions for all three registration methods. Currently you can register through the mail with a check or using the ASA preferred method of Individual Registration through fastpitchsoftball.net. The third option of registration will be available via PayPal.
- Tournaments can be posted for approval. To post a tournament listing, navigate to Event Calendar on the bottom of the website and then Submit an event for approval. You must be logged in to access this feature.
- Tournament registration is simple. In the navigation you will find areas for Points Tournaments and State Tournaments. The option Enter a ... Tournament will take you to a tournament list, which can be sorted by name or tournament date. Click on a tournament name to register. If it is a State Tournament, you will be directed to pay by PayPal. Another way to locate a tournament is to use the Event Calendar and then select the session you wish to register your team for.
